Poynton Arts Festival is a celebration of all creative arts; theatre, music, comedy, singing, poetry, painting and more besides. This year’s festival brought together a huge array of talent with over forty events taking place at twenty two venues; see images below:-

 Poynton is a lively community located in North Cheshire, 20 minutes by train from the centre of Manchester and is simply bursting with creative talent.

Poynton boasts six regular music venues, a theatre, two brass bands, performance stages at the community centre, the sports club and Community hall, a Gilbert and Sullivan Society and much more. Poynton High School is a Performing Arts Academy. What better place to host a multi-arts festival?

The Festival brings together creativity from across Poynton and performing arts from around the region. Venues include pubs, schools, churches, cafes, social clubs and restaurants. Poynton Festival is a showcase for art and performance from all over Poynton and beyond. Whether you’re into classical music, folk or rock, we’ve got it. Theatre buffs will find both comedy and drama. There are performance poetry, choral events, a number of art exhibitions, and open mic nights.

With such a huge and varied range of events and venues spread across eight days, there is something for everyone; a fantastic week of artistic celebration and excitement.
