Thanks for expressing an interest in the Poynton Arts Festival 2024!

We are really excited to be running this festival once again after such a successful start in 2023! We would love you to join in with us in showcasing the wonderful work of artists in our region.

This is what you need to do next:

1. Organising your venue for performance/exhibition is not done centrally, it is done by you. How to do this – go to the Poynton Arts Festival website, here: https://poyntonartsfestival.co.uk/

and look on the drop-down menu for the ‘Venues’ page. Choose a venue which you think might suit your contribution and use their contact details listed on the website to liaise with that venue regarding availability, access, set-up, take-down etc. Please be aware that some venues will charge for use.

2. You must have suitable Public Liability Insurance to cover your work/performance. We need to see a copy of this – please scan or photograph it and email it to info@poyntonartsfestival.co.uk

Without appropriate insurance you will not be able to take part.

3. Now please pay your fee – it’s just £20 which goes towards your inclusion in the Festival programme etc. Pay this by bank transfer:

4. Having organised your venue, paid for fee and sorted out your insurance, you then need to let the committee know about your event so it can be included in the programme and added to the website. Do this by emailing: info@poyntonartsfestival.co.uk

Don’t forget to include the venue name, the days and times your exhibition or event will be open to the public, and any ticket information or cost, whether/how people need to book etc.

5. We do not have a large advertising budget so the Festival, including your event/exhibition, will do better the more you can promote it yourself amongst your own contacts, mailing lists and social media accounts. We are hoping every contributing artist will be doing this in the run-up, which will generate a wider audience of people being reached each year. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask, however please bear in mind that the Festival is being organised by a very small group of volunteers who may not be able to respond to your query immediately. Please check for information on the website first.
